I found the experience entirely positive. Allowing myself the time to reflect outside of the day to day frustrations and busyness helped to better understand my position and the views of others around me. Having someone to notice and call out the trends that were establishing, as well as how certain events affected my morale was an important take-away, helping me to deal with those situations better in the future. I have significantly more confidence in marketing myself as a candidate for future promotion, and have allowed myself more time to reflect and then act on development opportunities. I am more aware of how I can impact my team, and try to ensure I have a consistent and positive dialogue with them wherever possible.

Andrea’s coaching style was supportive, encouraging and non-directive. She demonstrated the ability to listen well and to ask questions which on occasions challenged me and made me think differently. I felt able to be honest with Andrea and I never felt as though she was making any judgement. Andrea managed the process of each session, ensuring that an outcome was achieved within the time set aside. Overall, I enjoyed being coached by Andrea. She has a natural, calm approach which I appreciated.
